The Nutrition & Health Foundation is committed to promoting a healthy Ireland. We take a multi-stakeholder approach to addressing the health challenges of our nation, by bringing together industry, government, state agencies, internationally recognised scientists, health professionals and other relevant stakeholders.

Our work includes:
• Communicating evidence based information to consumers to promote healthier lifestyle choices
• Participating in and supporting scientific studies by providing funding and partnering with research institutions to provide consumer insight.

Creating and supporting initiatives that encourage an improved and healthier society. The scientific grounding for the Foundation’s activities is provided through its links with the Irish Universities Nutrition Alliance (IUNA), the Exercise and Sports Science Association of Ireland (ESSAI), the Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute (INDI), the National Dairy Council (NDC), the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP), Athlone Institute of Technology, Dublin City University (DCU), University College Cork (UCC), Cork Institute of Technology, St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra, Waterford Institute of Technology, University College Dublin (UCD) and St. Angela's College, Sligo.

The Nutrition and Health Foundation's Scientific Advisory Committee has developed the following
8 steps which can be used to improve health and wellbeing, in the busy lifestyles of today.
