The Nutrition & Health Foundation (NHF) puts the consumer at the heart of its mission. It conducts detailed attitudinal research to identify what information the public needs to help them achieve a healthier lifestyle. This information is used to develop the NHF's projects and initiatives.

The NHF have published a number of key pieces of research on consumer attitudes and motivations with regards to health, lifestyle and what motivates/prevents people making changes to their diet, exercise and lifestyle.

National Teens Food Survey, 2008 (conducted by the Irish Universities Nutrition Alliance)
Lifestyle Behaviour Change for General Practice 2009 (conducted by the Irish College of General Practitioners)
Our increasing understanding of the relationship between food, fitness, lifestyle and health is providing new opportunities for consumers to take control of their long term well being. The NHF and it’s collaborators ensure the research results are accessible to the wider public so that they can make informed lifestyle choices.
